Patches is a founder of the group, hence its -cide name.

The vessel sometimes malfunctions in ways that it does damage to itself. Patches manages this damage, isolating the damage to certain places, preventing other members from experiencing the damage, etc.

Patches' arms are coated in this strange floating goo that numbs the arms and heals any skin lesions that come from system maintenance. The goo can be removed for short periods of time, however it is very uncomfortable, as it leaves raw skin exposed. It creeps back from the sleeves of her shirt, seemingly with no source.
The goop acts as a barrier, as its own malleable layer of skin. Removing it leaves a pinker, more sensitive layer of skin. It is a similar feeling to the result of removing the top layer of skin off of a callous or thick dry skin from a pad of flesh (like a finger or big toe) The process itself is not painful, but certainly stimulating.
